When you have time,
you can have everything.
The moon I hung in the sky
the sun that allows it to compete
The river I rolled back,
the storm I held still in my palm,
The entrails from my vulnerability and
the armour I now wear over it
The stolen time from a clock’s mouth,
and the days stretched like an open road
The wind to whisper your name
The earth to kiss your feet
You are due a lover, kinship,
The kind of person who would steal Helen of Troy
or challenge the theft!
You are due an avalanche of good memories
but only when you have time
return to a message lost in translation
to walk back the salt thrown over your shoulder
and revisit the day you swore away
When you have time,
you can have everything,
love.
